Our basic guidelines of important design considerations for sheet metal fabrication to help improve part manufacturability, enhance cosmetic appearance, and reduce production problems.

Min. inside bend radius should be 1 times material thickness; 0.6 times for stainless steel
Min. sheet metal bend length should be 3 times material thickness + 1 times bend radius
Min. sheet metal hole dia. should be 1 times material thickness
Min. hole distance from bend edge should be 3 times material thickness + 1 times bend radius
Min. distance between two holes should be 2 times material thickness
Bend relief design to avoid crack in the corner
